Snow Make-Up Day
The snow make-up day for December 9 will be Friday, May 14, 2010. All students and staff will be expected to report to school that day.

Attend a Community Forum on the 2010-2011 Budget Reduction Options!
Click here to read the staff and community invite to attend a community forum. The forums have been scheduled for January 5, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at West High School in the F-Room (use doors 29 & 30 by the Auditorium) and January 6, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at North High in the theater.

Join the District in Welcoming Claud Thompson as the Newly Appointed Board of Education Member.
He was appointed on December 23 at a special Board of Education meeting. He will hold the position through the Spring 2010 elections.
The Spring 2010 election will have three Board of Education Member positions up for election. Two of the positions will be the standard three year term. The third position will be a two year term to complete the term of the previoulsy vacated position now being filled by Mr. Thompson. Click here to view Mr. Thompson's application letter.

Changes in Math Curriculum Bring “Phenomenal” Results
There definitely were skeptics when plans were rolled out requiring all high school students to take Algebra. The concerns were that this was too high a bar for all students to reach. The first semester results are in and it appears that the students and staff have responded incredibly well to the changing mathematics landscape. Worldwide Attention: The Road to Singapore
The world is now beating a path to the Oshkosh Area School District. The Oakwood Experimental Aircraft Association Charter School has drawn the attention of educators in Singapore. One of the driving forces behind the EAA curriculum, Oakwood 3rd grade teacher Erron Sagen, will be traveling to Singapore to train educators in the EAA curriculum. Read More.

North Science Teachers Enrich Student Experiences
Opportunities outside the classroom are extremely beneficial to Oshkosh Area students and more and more schools and staff members are engaging in activities and programs outside of the classroom to further enrich the learning experiences of their students and incorporate these programs into their curriculum. School Performance Report:
Notice to Parents/Guardians - According to Wis. Stat. 115.38, school districts are required to publish a School Performance Report for the parents and guardians of their students by May 1st of each year. Additionally, the school districts are required by January 1st of each year to notify the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled of their right to request a paper copy of the School Performance Report.
The Oshkosh Area School District is pleased to make available the District School Performance Report containing data for the 2008-2009 academic year. This report will be accessible by May 1, 2010 on the OASD website. Parents or guardians can also request a paper copy by contacting Michelle Ring, Director of Assessment & School Improvement at 920-424-0141. Upon request, the school district will send a paper copy of the 2008-2009 School Performance Report to you by May 1, 2010.
