Merrill Middle School to Host Community and Family Night, May 14

Merrill Middle School invites the Oshkosh community to attend its Community and Family Night on Tuesday, May 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at Merrill Middle School, 108 W New York Avenue, Oshkosh WI. 
 
Merrill families and community members are invited to stop in and get to know the school community. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a showcase of student work, including the Genius Hour projects of Merrill Middle School eighth-grade science students. The event will also feature hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities for all ages. Additionally, the school is excited to host FIT Oshkosh’s Color-Brave Photo Exhibit and invites the community to explore the exhibit, located in the Merrill Middle School media center. Attendees can also enjoy a free hot dog and chip dinner while meeting with Merrill Middle School staff and learning more about the school community. 
 
Merrill Middle School focuses on building positive relationships and personalizing learning. Merrill students are grouped into grade level teams who all work cohesively with a team of teachers. This system allows for individualized attention as well as cooperative learning.
