This event is free and open to the public, no registration required. The presentation will feature nationally renowned motivational speaker, Mike Veny, who will share a message of empowering mental wellness and transforming stigmas associated with mental health.

In 2016, the OASD partnered with a number of community organizations to establish the Rise Up Program. The District’s Rise Up Program is a comprehensive mental health initiative that strives to support overall student wellness through education (students, staff members, and the community), the identification of students who have mental health needs, and direct mental health services for students in need. This presentation supports the efforts of the Rise Up Program and aims to improve our understanding and awareness of mental health and the resources available in the Oshkosh community.

The OASD is grateful for the Oshkosh division of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and its sponsorship of this event. For more information about Mike Veny or his message, please visit
