School Description
The Oakwood building houses Oakwood Elementary School as well as the Environmental Education and EAA Third Grade Aviation charter schools. Oakwood Elementary promotes strong partnerships with the community and with families and has benefited from an unusually high level of parental involvement. Students at Oakwood Elementary have earned very high test scores, an indication of this school’s emphasis on academics. Special offerings at Oakwood include before- and after-school care through the YMCA, the Kid ’n Tutor Program, and the After-School Reading Program.
