Honoring Athletic Excellence: Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West Induct Hall of Fame Class of 2025-2026

The athletic communities of Oshkosh North High School and Oshkosh West High School recognized alumni and former coaches for their outstanding achievements and contributions within each school’s athletic programs.

In January 2026, the athletic departments at Oshkosh West High School and Oshkosh North High School honored former athletes and coaches for their athletic achievements and significant contributions to their school’s athletic programs.

At Oshkosh West, the Wall of Fame Committee selected eight individuals as the 2025 Wall of Fame inductees - Savanna (Anderson) Pohly (2004), John Dewitt (2009), Sam Penzenstadler (2011), Andy Polka (2006), Bryan Schwebke (2003), Coach Carrie Bores (1982-2015), Coach Russ Hoxtell (1976-2003), Coach Braugeor Zeitler (1972-2004).

On Friday, January 2, 2026, Oshkosh West’s inductees - as well as their families, friends, and loved ones - were honored with a private dinner and induction ceremony where each inductee was presented with an honorary plaque and given the opportunity to share words of reflection with those in attendance. Directly following the induction ceremony, the eight honorees were recognized at center court before the varsity boys basketball game. Plaques for each of the eight inductees were hung on the school’s Athletic Wall of Fame to inspire current and future generations of Oshkosh West Wildcats.

On Friday, January 9, 2026, Oshkosh North celebrated two inductees into this year’s Athletic Hall of Fame class. Two members of Oshkosh North’s 2019 Softball State Championship Team, Libby Nevau and Sydney Supple, were celebrated in a public ceremony held during halftime of the varsity girls basketball game. During the induction ceremony, photos of Libby and Sydney were displayed on the fieldhouse video board while descriptions of their athletic accomplishments - in high school and beyond - were shared with all in attendance. The two inductees were presented with commemorative plaques, identical to the newly installed plaques now hanging in the Athletic Hall of Fame hallway outside of the fieldhouse.

Impact of School Athletics in Oshkosh

Beyond the classroom, participation in school athletic programs allows students to embrace healthy lifestyles while also developing valuable life skills related to teamwork, communication, leadership, and physical and mental toughness. As recognized in this year’s Athletic Wall/Hall of Fame inductees, developing these characteristics can lead to even more opportunities for success in students’ lives - extending into post-secondary education and adulthood. By celebrating athletic accomplishments, each school deepens current students’ connection to school athletic programs and opens the door to enriching experiences for students of future generations.

We extend our sincere congratulations to this year’s Athletic Wall of Fame and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees at Oshkosh West and Oshkosh North, and thank each individual for becoming role models for our students and community.
