Oshkosh Rec Dept School Year Activities Registration and Program Changes

The Oshkosh Recreation Department (ORD) will offer select in-person programs for youth and adults during the 2020-21 school year. Changes were made to the program offerings amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and as a result of enhanced safety protocols and guidelines. Due to facility limitations, the Oshkosh Recreation Department building will remain closed to the public and will not be used for programs at this time. Programs impacted by this location change have been relocated or are on-hold and may be canceled based on space availability; additional information will continue to be shared.

The following ORD programs are impacted by the location change and are currently on-hold:

  • Active Aging (volleyball, shuffleboard)
  • Adult Strength Class
  • All Pre-School Programming (Tot Open Gym, Spanish for Tots, Moving Munchkins, Tot Spot, Pre-School Pop Ups)
  • Pickleball
  • Recreation Gym Walking

The following ORD programs have been relocated and will take place:

  • Tumbling has moved to South Park Middle School
  • Child and Babysitting Safety has moved to Oshkosh West (small gym)
  • Adult Ballroom Dance Lessons have moved to Emmeline Cook Elementary School

Registration for the ORD’s school year programs will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 20. To register, visit https://oshkoshrecdept.com. Please note that the 2020-21 School Year Activity Guide was published in Spring 2020 and as such the program changes are not represented. The Oshkosh Recreation Department remains committed to the continued safety and wellbeing of participants and community members. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a fluid and ongoing situation in the Oshkosh community, a comprehensive recreation reopening safety plan was developed and will be in place as the ORD begins to return to organized activities. The ORD programming that is taking place will do so in modified formats that are in compliance with CDC and health department guidelines. The modifications will be unique to each activity to ensure the continued safety of all participants. Specific details will be shared with participants enrolled in each activity.
