A Message from the Superintendent

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing winter break.

As a District, we look forward to continuing to serve and support our students. On January 11, the District will return to Model 3: Hybrid Learning, with students attending school in-person two days each week and learning virtually on the other days. Students enrolled in eAcademy will remain fully virtual, engaged in the 100% online program. Additional information will continue to be shared by schools, and families are encouraged to stay informed and engaged. Families are also encouraged to visit the 2020-21 School Year Plan webpage for the latest District information including the OASD’s COVID-19 dashboard and Instructional Model Matrix.

As we begin a new year that will undoubtedly hold both challenges and great opportunities, I am grateful for your commitment and dedication to our students.

Sincerely,

Vickie L. Cartwright, Ph.D.,
Superintendent of Schools

High School Athletics Live-stream

Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) high schools will continue to stream all home high school athletic events during the 2020-21 winter season. Events will be streamed to each high school's official athletic YouTube channels:

When events are live-streamed, viewers will see a “Live now” section when visiting the school's YouTube channel. Events streamed from the main gym will begin streaming automatically 15 minutes before the scheduled tip-off.

Events that are filmed outside of the main gym will be scheduled in advance and a link to those streams will be visible in advance. Those events will be manually started approximately 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the game but the time may fluctuate slightly.

Away events will be streamed as well. The links to all Fox Valley Association (FVA) school streaming sites can be found on the www.fvasports.net website or directly at www.fvasports.net/page/show/6066627-fva-livestream-links.

If you are unable to watch an event in real-time, events will be added to the school's athletic YouTube channel after the livestream ends and the video processes. Videos will stay visible for at least one week after the original event air date.

In Our Schools: Good News Spotlight

Sounds of the Season

Students at Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West high schools have been honing their vocal skills and focusing on their talents, all while reimagining music. The following recordings were made to showcase student talent this holiday season.

Helping Those in Need

Oshkosh North students in the Polaris National Honor Society recently handed out flyers in their neighborhoods in an effort to collect food for those in need. The students collected over 638 pounds of food in their first distribution, which was pick-up by members of the Midmorning Kiwanis.

Focusing on Gratefulness

Oshkosh West students in the Project Life program, recently made “thinking of you” cards and door decorations for the residents of Bethel Home. The students discussed surviving in the pandemic, thinking of others that could be lonely, and being grateful that they could still gather and learn together during this time.
