Second Annual MLK Day Celebration
Join the Oshkosh Area School District as we plan our Second Annual MLK Day Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Vel Phillips Middle School.
This event is a free community gathering to honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Building on Last Year's Success
The inaugural 2025 MLK Day Celebration brought together over 200 students, families, and community members for a morning of reflection, music, and connection.
Highlights included:
- A welcoming continental breakfast with music by the Oshkosh North Jazz Band.
- Inspirational musical performances from OASD student choirs.
- Recognition of winners from the 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest.
- A powerful keynote address by Dr. Sam Coleman, OASD Assistant Superintendent of Instruction.
