Our Approach to Westside Boundary Changes

Following our community's approval of our April 2025 referendum, the Oshkosh Area School District is actively engaging in facility updates and school consolidation. This work necessitates the careful redrawing of attendance boundaries. Our approach is transparent, data-driven, and aims to optimize student access to quality education and efficient use of our updated facilities. This multi-year plan, extending through Fall 2029, outlines key milestones for elementary and middle school zone changes, including the closure of Shapiro STEM Academy in June 2026, Roosevelt Elementary in June 2027, and South Park and Perry Tipler Middle Schools in June 2028, culminating in the opening of a new Westside Middle School in Fall 2028 and a dedicated Pre-kindergarten Center in Fall 2029.

For a comprehensive overview of how the district is approaching boundary changes, please refer to the "Looking Ahead to Westside Boundary changes" update above.

Below, you'll find a detailed timeline infographic illustrating the boundary redraw process.
