Community Eligibility Provision

The Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) implemented the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) - a program that allows schools with high numbers of low-income children to serve breakfast and lunch to all students at no charge without collecting school-meal-benefit applications in September 2019. Students that attend a qualifying school (see  schools below) do not need to submit a Free and Reduced Meal Application to receive free meals. However, all households should still complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application in order to waive school fees and support educational funding for the classroom and school.

  • Benefits of CEP
    • Well-fed students are better prepared to learn, which boosts academic performance.
    • Increased meal participation, especially breakfast, means all students can receive healthy school meals, regardless of income.

Free and Reduced Meal Application

IMPORTANT: All OASD families are strongly encouraged to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application. Only by completing an application are families eligible to receive additional benefits including reduced or waived school/student fees. In addition to school benefits, there may be other promotions and waived fees available within the community, such as reduced cost technology access. This information also helps determine the federal funds available for your child’s school and classroom. If you have not submitted an application for the 2024-2025 school year, there is still time! The Free and Reduced Meal Application can be completed online via the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal. See Free and Reduced Meals for more information or CLICK HERE to log in to your IC account.
