Tax Impact and Costs

Long-term Financial Planning

The district has been proactive and intentional in planning its finances to ensure that investing in our schools remains manageable for both current and future generations. This isn't a sudden decision – it's part of a community-developed, board-approved four-phase facilities plan developed in 2019 and approved in 2020.

Demonstrated Fiscal Responsibility

We've taken steps to manage the tax impact:

  • The school board recently approved a 5.05% decrease in the overall school tax levy from 2023-24 to 2024-25.
  • The total school tax levy is expected to go from $69,452,783 down to $65,943,198. A decrease of $3,509,585.
